If you are
travelling along the A2 from Dover you need to head for
Sittingbourne and the Key Street roundabout (A249). At the
roundabout head for Maidstone, you will come to a second
roundabout take the right hand lane and go straight across, keep
in the right hand lane and take the first turning sign posted
Stockbury. Go along this road until you come to a T
junction, turn right and go past the church. If you miss the
first right turn on the A249, take the next one, you will end up
on the same road that goes past the church. Follow this road to
the next T junction, turn left, ahead you will see a pub, you
need to turn right before this and continue along this road past
the shop on your left. You will come to a T junction opposite a
timber framed building with a thatched barn on your left, you
need to turn right here, sign posted ( Hartlip ). Follow this road to the end, watch out
for the sharp right and left hand bends near the end. Turn right
and then left, when you get to the top of the hill you are there!
You can park
on the island or continue keeping right and you will see the
entrance to the car park on your right.
If you are
travelling along the A2 from London you need to head for Rainham.
Go through Rainham and head for Newington, before you get to
Newington you will see a sign for Gore House Nursery on your left. Just past this you will see the sign for Hartlip Hill, you need
to turn right at the top. Follow the road through Hartlip, at the T junction
turn right and next left, sign posted ( Queendown ). Go over the
Motorway, you will find the car park on the left after about 2
hundred yards.
